My previous employment included retail shop management for a large bakery chain and then I moved into food manufacturing with chilled desserts and ambient cakes – although this sector is quite challenging it does have a certain sameness about each day.
Four years ago I joined Hotel Chocolat initially as a Supervisor in charge of packing. Within six months I was helping to set up and move to a very large packing facility and a year ago moved into making chocolate as well.
I am now a Shift Manager responsible for up to two hundred people, some on packing our product, some on chocolate making.
